Her Name is...

As we filled out the DS-260 (immigrant VISA form), we were asked to give her new English name. While Doug and I knew her first name, we only recently decided on a middle name. So now it's official...Hu Yan Xia will now be called "Nina Marlene Loehr". Nina was always our girl name - named after my Aunt Anita, who was another grandmother to me and who passed away when I was 13. Marlene is after Doug's mother. We wanted our daughter to have the name of her grandmother who she sadly won't have a chance to meet. Doug's mother would've been an amazing Nana to little Nina, as she was to our boys. More exciting news to announce is that I am finally finished with paperwork - at least until we travel to China! We received our I-800 provisional approval last Monday. We also received our Visas from the Chinese Consulate last week. Today, we received the NVC letter and were able to complete the DS-260 I already mentioned. At this point, our agency needs to e-mail our documents to their representative in Guangzhou. They will hopefully be able to submit our documents to the US Consulate there tomorrow (Tuesday), if not the next day is Thursday, so fingers crossed for tomorrow! What's next? More waiting! We wait for Article 5 pickup (US Central's Authority for Hague Adoption - I just looked that up now!) and then the long awaited Travel Approval!!
